A Toast to the Holidays!

This season as you bring out the rolling pins and baking dishes, don’t forget that a lovely cocktail is the perfect compliment to your favorite desserts! These delicious and merry spirits will keep you warm and happy all winter long!

Mastica Toddy

1 teaspoon honey

2 ounces water

2 ounces Mastica liqueur

1 cinnamon stick

2 whole cloves

Boil the water and just as it comes to a simmer add the Mastica liqueur, honey and cinnamon stick. Bring to a slow boil. Pour into your favorite cup, garnish with cloves. Enjoy!

 

Blue Ouzo

1 ounce Ouzo

Dash of Blue Curacao

Splash of pink lemonade

Combine all ingredients and serve over crushed ice in a martini glass with sugared rim.

 

Greek Coffee

1 ounce peppermint schnapps

1 ounce crème de cacao

1 ounce heavy cream

1 cup NesCafe, brewed

Whipped cream

Shaved chocolate

Crushed candy cane

Blend all liquid ingredients in a mug, garnish with whipped cream sprinkled with crushed candy cane and chocolate shavings.

 

Metaxa Cider

3 ounces apple cider

1 ounce water

3 ounces Metaxa

Caramel Sauce

Ground cinnamon

Cinnamon stick

Warm the cider, water and Metaxas. Remove from fire as it begins to simmer.

Pour caramel sauce into saucer, dip your glass in the sauce to cover the rim. Dribble a bit of caramel sauce around the inside of the glass as well. Pour the cider/Metaxa blend into the glass, add a dash of ground cinnamon and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
